Eddie Redmayne and Scarlett Johansson have collected the first two acting prizes at 2010 Tony Awards which has taken place on Sunday, June 13. The Brit actor is awarded with Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Play for his role in John Logan's "Red", while the 25-year-old beauty wins Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Play for her acting in "A View from the Bridge".
"The arts matter ... and I've never felt that more keenly in this extraordinary city," says Redmayne who made his professional stage debut for Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in "Twelfth Night" in 2002. Scarlett, who gets the honor for her debut performances in Broadway, also takes the stage to deliver her acceptance speech, stating "Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to be on Broadway, and here I am."
