Val Kilmer and his Pecos River Ranch are in the midst of a controversy. It turns out the actor wants to transform his property into an upscale bed-and-breakfast, however neighbors oppose due to some of the comments he has made in the past.
Neighbors felt offended by different comments Val Kilmer said on interviews, so they have resolved not to allow him the permit to have his Pecos River Ranch bed-and-breakfast until he apologizes.
Some of the comments include:
“80% of the people in my county are drunk” – 2003 Rolling Stone interview.
“[veterans are] borderline criminal or poor … wretched kids [who entered the military because they] got beat up by their dads [or] couldn’t finagle a scholarship” – 2005 Esquire interview.
“That’s all he has to do, come and apologize, We’re not intimidated by him.” Said Jorge Garcia, neighbor of Kilmer.
Other neighbors feel that an apology isn’t good enough!
