National Dance Day Conference

I participated in the National Dance Day Conference Call last Monday — and I was able to ask Nigel Lythgoe a question!

He said that the inspiration for National Dance Day was because he saw that obesity is a problem in American and one way to combat the epidemic is to get people to exercise through dancing.

I followed that up with a question about SYTYCD Season One’s Allan Frias who was one of the only “plus-sized” dancer ever to make it to the voting rounds of the show.

I also noted that I did not see anything scheduled for New York City on National Dance Day, but he mentioned that the cast of the Addams Family on Broadway was doing something.by  rickey
